I noticed that whenever I start eating oats I start getting very little dot like white pimples around my mouth area. I researched a lot online but I guess no one has such a problem. And the oats I eat are certified organic steelcut oats. I get pimples from quick oats and rolled oats also.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Oats are one of the 14 listed allergens. For oats to be called 'gluten-free' they must have been specially produced, prepared and/or processed in a way to avoid contamination by wheat, rye, barley, or their crossbred varieties and the gluten content of such oats must not exceed 20 mg/kg. I was suspecting dairy allergy, so I decided to do an allergy test: because I thought the symptoms I had were because of the dairy, I stopped consuming it about 5 days before the allergy test. The test came back negative but i'm wondering if it's a false negative because of that 5 day dairy free diet?
