Allergy - Hazelnut Test

Allergy Hazelnut test is performed on a sample of blood to measure the level of IgE antibodies in the blood. Also called as, Allergy Hazelnut Fluorescence Assay, it is done to confirm Hazelnut Allergy. This test uses the blood sample to determine if you are allergic to Hazelnut. A blood sample is obtained by inserting a needle into a vein in the arm. The location of the vein will be cleansed with an alcohol pad. The lab assistant will remove the needle and put an adhesive bandage over the area. It is done by detecting the allergen-specific IgE in the sample taken.
