As TLC is very low, she should be admitted as fever in this case is a medical emergency. I understand you are in a very tough position. What have you decided for her treatment. Are you planning to go for 2nd line therapy or not.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Klebsiella pneumoniae is a difficult infection to treat because of the organism's thick capsule. Klebsiella is best treated with third- and fourth-generation cephalosporins, quinolones, or carbapenems. Monotherapy is just as effective as a combination treatment in klebsiella pneumoniae because newer agents are used. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello my father has been diagnosed with myelofibrosis. Also he is suggreing from tuberculosis and taking medicine from last 3 months. He is also a sugar patients can myelofibrosis be treated by medicine or stem cell transplantation is the only method to cure it?

MBBS, Basic Life Support (B.L.S), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Fellow of Academy of General Education (FAGE)
General Physician, Delhi
I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. There is no drug therapy that can cure mf. The only potential cure for mf is allogeneic stem cell transplantation. But this procedure is risky for older patients and those with other health problems. Because mf primarily affects older adults, a stem cell transplantation is not a treatment option for most mf patients. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Sir my sister is a blood cancer patient age 31, treatmenting with imatinib tablet. Since 10 days. But she is suffering pain one by one in her body parts. Like right leg next left leg next hand. What the cause of this.

MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician, Nagpur
Its unfortunate that your sister is suffering with blood cancer. As per history she might having cml, and receiving imatinib for treatment. Imatinib is known to cause musculoskeletal pain. Some time simple analgesic is helpful in getting relief of pain but many a times is due to more complex process that involve calcium and phosphate handling of body. I strongly advise you to consult your primary oncologist/hematologist, he might ask for some investigation, and may try to modify dose (depend on recent bcr-abl copy number). Hope this will help you.

Some faulty genes that increase the risk of cancer can be passed on from parent to child. These are called inherited cancer genes. This occurs when there is a mistake or a fault in the genes in an egg or sperm cell. Then the gene fault can be passed on to children, let's discuss your concern in detail for better understanding.

What is the treatment of dengue
and what is the platelets?
what happened when we suffered from blood cancer?
Treatment of dengue consists of pain medications and fluids treatment includes fluids and pain relievers. Severe cases require hospital care. The platelets are the cells that circulate within our blood and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessel. When you get a cut, for example, the platelets bind to the site of the damaged vessel, thereby causing a blood clot to stop us from bleeding.
