Chloride (CSF) Questions

Hello sir, my wife is suffering from severe headache and high fever. Same issue was repeated in 2011, then again in 2013 and now it is in this year. Earlier it was diagnosed as viral meningitis in 2011 via csf. All blood reports are normal now and we don't want do csf again. How it happens is suddenly & slowly first headache starts then followed with high shivering fever comes. Since from 2011 she gets angry on silly things. She is not able to control temper as well. She gets depressed easily. She is getting into negative thoughts. Please advise us and that will be appreciated. Her age is 25yrs and we have one baby girl of 2.5 years old. Your intervention will be appreciated.

A medical doctor will perhaps answer your problem regarding meningitis. I am going to touch on an emotional angle to all the problems you have mentioned. Her headaches, depression and fever have a strong basis originating from unexpressed anger. I am also aware that these can be caused by meningitis too but as mentioned I am showing an emotional perspective to it. It is therefore interesting that you do mention that she has a problem with getting easily angry and does get into depression, which is also anger related in my opinion. So apart from following the medical approach, do meet with a counselor and discuss her anger issues and where it has originated from. Perhaps there may be some information from her past either from her parents or from her own knowledge. It could be quite deep rooted and therapy must delve deeply too to get to the bottom of this residual anger until it is expressed, appropriately. The anger may be such that she may not feel like expressing it and therefore she has chosen to keep it under wraps. Any feeling that is suppressed will find a way of expressing itself internally and causing a lot of distress including headaches, fever, and depression. It may be useful to read a book by an author called Louise L. Hay, entitled, ?You can heal your life? to understand how emotions that have not been dealt with can disturb your life, and also how to go about healing the same.

4 hours gap between the two drugs is enough. You can use 100 mg. Check whether there is hydrochlorothiazide in your bp drugs. For using viagra--you should not use nitrate group of drugs; you should be able to do treadmill up to 6 mets. Inform the doctor treating you, if you had viagra 24 hours earlier.

A girl age 26 years have TSH value 79. 935 which is greater than normal TSH value 4.780, and T4 value is 0.59 which is less than normal T4 0.89, What that's means and what she do to make her TSH normal? Is she have to increase eating iodine chloride salt in food? Please suggest what to do.

MBBS, DNB

These values of TSH and T4 imply that her thyroid is functioning less than normal. Therefore she has to be given thyroid hormone medication from outside to bring TSH within normal limits and to bring relief to her symptoms if any. Please note that increasing iodine or chloride will not help in her case. She will have to take thyroid medication for sure. Hope this helps.

If you are taking any diuretics for BP control stop that. If you are on low salt diet please take normal salt diet and can take salt sprinkled on salad and fruits.

I can understand your situation. Its wrong to use tramadol HCL for such a long duration. You have to undergo detoxification under some experienced psychiatrist of this field. Only after detoxification we can decide whether you should put on drug free condition, antagonist or agonist maintenance. So do consult.

Hello, At present he can be managed conservatively with blood pressure medicines and diet restriction. It is necessary for him to be under regular follow up of a nephrologist.
