A chronic ear infection began in monsoon 2020 from earplug use. I've tried natural and not natural to cure it. I live too far from doctor and have only had it seen once by doctor. Past few days it has flared up after I was picking the pus kind of stuff out with long metal things made for ear cleaning. Now whole one side of my face is swollen, red, burning, painful. Which kind of doctor do I consult? Perhaps my international mastercard doesn't work on this app. I've not tried yet.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Tinnitus is usually caused by an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, an ear injury or a problem with the circulatory system. For many people, tinnitus improves with treatment of the underlying cause or with other treatments that reduce or mask the noise, making tinnitus less noticeable. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you ear drainage can occur for several reasons, including an ear infection, a ruptured eardrum, or an ear tube that causes fluid to drain. Ear discharge can sometimes be a sign of something more serious, especially if it occurs after a recent head injury. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. The swelling occurs as a result of immune cell activity in the lymph nodes. The location of the swelling often relates to the affected area. For example, an ear infection may cause swollen lymph nodes near the ear, while someone with an upper respiratory tract infection may notice swollen lymph nodes in their neck. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Staph bacteria are very adaptable, and many varieties have become resistant to one or more antibiotics. For example, only about 5% of today's staph infections can be cured with penicillin. You should not take anything without doctor's advice as it may be harmful. Dear lybrate-user, sorry to hear that your mother is having post operative issues following her surgery. The best person to advice would be your surgeon who has performed the operation. If for any reason you want a second opinion, then approach a nearby ent surgeon with otoneurology experience or a neurosurgeon for further advice. It would be better that way rather than taking advice in such forums as regards the further treatment as your mother is having multiple issues as you state that she is still feeding through a tube and still weak even after a month of surgery. Best wishes.
