Hello sir please please get 4th gen combo test for hiv and not naat baesd tests, cause combo test is the first recommended screening test for hiv. Hello rahul I am Dr. sourab md internal medicine. If your blood is negative for hiv pcr both quantitative and qualitative then you are negative for hiv. But if you recently had an exposure to a person or blood products there is a time period before which test becomes positive usually upto a week.

You can do fourth-generation tests which look for hiv antibodies as well as something called p24 antigens. The p24 antigens are part of hiv itself test after 90 days / the 4 th generation test as well.
