MRI Scan - Shoulder Screening Test

The images of our body's internal structures are captured using magnets and radio waves in the MRI scan process. The scan allows the doctor see the bones as well the soft tissues of patients including muscles, ligaments, tendons and blood vessels. In some cases, MRI scan is useful for tracking the effect of surgeries, medications, or physical therapy on the shoulder.

If the MRI scan of yours requires contrast dye, a nurse or physician will insert it into your bloodstream through veins. Before beginning the test, the patient will have to wait for few times due to the circulation of the dye in blood. The patient needs to lie on their back on the table and slide into the machine.
