Is PLATELET DISTRIBUTION WIDTH of 16.5 normal? If not, then how to bring it under control?
A normal platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter of blood. Having more than 450,000 platelets is a condition called thrombocytosis; having less than 150,000 is known as thrombocytopenia. You get your platelet number from a routine blood test called a complete blood count (CBC).

Dear user There are pattern which is good but feel are misguided habits. Doing preventive Medical Laboratory investigations directly on own with out first consulting your family physician or doctor you usually consult. Then after doing investigations if there is abnormalities there is usually habit of checking on Google though I am not totally against it as in Google you may not understand that medical literature is in what context and what it's inference and interpretation. There can be repercussions of these practices is a NORMAL PERSON CAN BECOME UNNECESSARILY AN ABNORMAL PERSON DOING MORE HARM TO SELF THAN GOOD. Now basically the above report suggests that you have only sent CBC report which suggests there's infections in the body. Consult a general physician who can advise you better antibiotics and diagnosis because only CBC is not enough to make a diagnosis and no complete medical history. Hopefully your questions is answered.
