Adelphane 0.1mg/10mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure. It is an alkaloid found in the roots of Rauwolfia serpentina and R. vomitoria. It is an indole alkaloid, antipsychotic, and antihypertensive drug.
It also is used to treat severe agitation in patients with mental disorders. This belongs to the class of medications called rauwolfia alkaloids. It works by slowing the activity of the nervous system, causing the heartbeat to slow and the blood vessels to relax.
