About Advent 625mg Tablet

This medication is a penicillin antibiotic and treats bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of cell wall in a bacteria and stops it from growing. The tablet is used to manage infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract.

This medicine also treat conditions like tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and gonorrhoea.

You should not use Advent tablet if you are allergic to any penicillin based antibiotic. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, liver or kidney disease and diarrhoea. Other drugs may interact with this medicine, vitamins and herbal products.

    The tablet is a Penicillin antibiotic and inhibits the transfer of a peptide group in the transpeptidation process. It also works as a beta-lactamase inhibitor by binding to beta-lactamase enzyme produced by bacterial cells, which in turn inhibits its enzymatic action and prevents beta-lactam antibiotics from being metabolised by the enzyme.
