About Alerid Cold Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine as active ingredients. It is an antihistamine drug. This medication works by blocking the action of histamine in the body. It is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure, sinus congestion, runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes and so on.

This medication is usually recommended only for a short time until your symptoms are cleared. Do not take it for longer than 7 days in a row.

    This medication is a first-generation antihistamine, which is used to prevent allergic symptoms from conditions such as urticaria and rhinitis. It binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine. The drug is a pain relief medication that selectively inhibits enzyme function in the brain which allows it to treat pain and fever. It activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals. Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist belonging to the phenethylamine class, which acts as a nasal decongestant. It works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels in the ear and nose, thereby providing great relief from discomfort.
