Ambrodil S Plus Syrup

This is a combination medication which has Levosalbutamol and Ambroxol as active ingredients. It is a short-acting adrenergic receptor against. This syrup is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – COPD in short and asthma. It is also used for constriction of airways, lungs inflammation and other related conditions.

It works by relaxing smooth muscles in the bronchial tubes. Thus, it helps in shortening or reversing an acute attack of shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing.

This syrup can be defined as a bronchodilator that is useful for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works as a β2 adrenergic receptor that increases cyclic AMP. Increased AMP leads to activation of protein kinase A which again prevents phosphorylation of myosin. All this mechanism leads to the relaxation of smooth muscles. Ambroxol is an agent that causes diffusion of thick mucus. Uncontrolled quantity of nitric oxide (NO) is related to inflammation and other kinds of disruptions of the functioning of the airways. Ambroxol inhibits the activation of guanylate cyclase which is nitric oxide-dependent.
