About Amlovas-AT Tablet
Amlovas-AT Tablet is used to treat angina, high blood pressure and coronary heart disease. It is recommended in case of heart failure if other medications fail to work.
This medication is a combination of two viz. Amlodipine and Atenolol. Amlodipine belongs to the class of a calcium channel blocker that improves blood flow by dilating blood vessels. Atenolol belongs to the class of beta-blockers that slows down the effect of some chemical that occurs naturally in the body.
The medicine should be taken as per the dosage on the prescription. Overdosage of the drug can lead to complications. Depending on the effects the drug has on a patient, the doctor may make variations to the dosage.
