About Atorfit CV 10 Capsule

This medication belongs to a group of drugs known as statins and Anti-platelet. It reduces the level of low-density lipoprotein or bad cholesterol in the body. Also, it helps in curing various conditions like narrowing of arteries that arises due to high cholesterol levels in the body. This medication can also reduce the amount of liver fat in the body.

This medication should be stored at a temperature between 20 to 25-degree Celsius. It should be kept away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Atorfit CV lower the risk of stroke, heart attack or coronary heart diseases.

If these severe side effects appear, it is necessary to seek medical help right away. This medication might also cause certain side effects. The common ones amongst them are

    How does this medication work?

    This medication increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell-surface, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL and it inhibits the hepatic synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles. It also possesses anticoagulatory properties that are broken down by CYP450 enzymes to its active metabolite that prevents adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from binding to its platelet P2Y12 receptor. This inhibits the ADP-mediated activation of the glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa complex, which in turn inhibits coagulation.

        Cyclosporine

        Colchicine

        You may experience abdominal pain, diarrhea, muscle pain, and numbness in hands and feet if these medications are taken together.         Atazanavir

        Gemfibrozil
