Atormac Cv10 Capsule

Atormac capsule belongs to a group of drugs known as statins and is composed of Atorvastatin, Clopidogrel. It reduces the level of low density lipoprotein or bad cholesterol in the body. This medication also helps in curing various conditions like narrowing of arteries that arises due to the high cholesterol levels in the body. This tablet can also reduce the amount of liver fat in the body and is used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack or coronary heart disease.

It is harmful to use this medication if you are suffering from any liver diseases. Also, this drug is not permitted to be used by anyone below the age of 10 years. A pregnant woman or someone planning to get pregnant should not take this drug. You should also consult with your doctor regarding the intake of this drug in case you are suffering from kidney disease or undergoing dialysis.

This medication is composed of Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel. Atorvastatin increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell-surface, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL and it inhibits the hepatic synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles. Clopidogrel is a prodrug with anticoagulatory properties that is broken down by CYP450 enzymes to its active metabolite that prevents adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from binding to its platelet P2Y12 receptor.
