About Azeflo Nasal Spray

Azeflo is available over the counter, without a doctor’s prescription in the form of a nasal spray. It treats seasonal or perennial non-allergic or allergic nasal symptoms such as a blocked nose, runny nose, itchy nose, or sneezing. This medication also cures itchy or watery eyes, as is common among patients with allergies in their eyes.

If you have been prescribed this medicine by your doctor, do as directed. The usual recommended dose is once or twice a day. Take care that you do not put this medicine in your eyes. Rinse your eyes well if this happens. You are advised to avoid overdosing on this drug.

    It is a synthetic corticosteroid which binds to the glucocorticoid receptor with high affinity. This drug is also thought to inhibit cytosolic phospholipase A2, which controls the biosynthesis of potent inflammation mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation. It also interacts with histamine and works as an antagonist by stopping the secretion of histamine and other agents that lead to allergic reaction.
