About Azifast 500 MG Tablet

Azifast tablet is an antibiotic used to treat different types of infections caused by a variety of bacteria. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of common cold, flu or viral infection since it is active against infections caused by bacteria only. It belongs to a group of Macrolide antibiotics which is useful for treating numerous infections caused by bacteria like middle ear infections, traveler’s diarrhoea.

Along with other medications, it is sometimes used for curing malaria. This medication is also used to treat a number of intestinal infections and sexually transmitted infections. This medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor.

The dosage or how often the medicine is taken depends upon a person’a age, weight, the condition that is being treated, other medical conditions and also how a person reacts to the first dose of the medicine. Effect and uses may vary from person to person. Treatment from this medication is short term and it becomes very risky if not taken as prescribed.
