BACTROBAN

Bacrtoban is available in the form of cream or ointment for external application on the skin, if affected by bacterial infection. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the use of the ointment or cream till the infection is completely resolved and it should not be stopped midway. Contact with eyes, nose and lips can cause irritation, and hence should be avoided. No major side effects are indicated.

Have some red spot on the head of penis one of doctor advised me to apply bactroban ointment with some other medicine. But after 3-4 months it has starting appearing now. My partner does not have any other genital issues. Could you please advise what can be done. Our sex life is normal.

I am getting boils from last one year in underarm and groin area. Have tried antibiotics and now after getting boils I apply bactroban. I even got operated on the same. And still boils come back. Any ideas as to why? And what should I do? Whom should I consult?

Dear Doctor, I am 50 years old. I have been getting boils on the thighs. Earlier there are instances of getting them in the arm pits, below the armpits etc. This happens about once in 3 to 6 months. Behind this boil there is a knot formation. Swelling is seen due to the knot. After the boil matures, blood mixed with puss oozes out for a couple of days. Earlier, Doctors had advised application of Bactroban/T-Bact ointment and Moxikind-CV antibiotic. If I take antibiotic, the boil will get dried within a couple of days. Kindly suggest the latest medicines and prevention methods. Thanks a lot in advance. Regards.

First of all get your blood sugar checked. Any other history of low grade fever in evening, weight loss? Any past or family history of tuberculosis?
