About Benalgis Tablet

This medication is used as a dietary supplement that is widely available. It helps to raise tissue and blood levels of thiamine, which then helps to protect the body from any medical conditions such as heart and nerve disorders. In some places, it is used to treat diabetic neurpathy. It is absorbed through cell membranes, thus making it easier for it to be transported to the cells that most need it.

It has been seen that this medication may trigger an upset stomach and a decrease in blood pressure. This tablet is usually taken over the course of the day, twice with divided doses. It is taken orally with a dosage between 300-600mg.

    This medication is a lipid-based synthetic analog of Thymine or Vitamin B1 with greater bioavailability than other Thiamine salts. It is dephosphorylated by Ecto-alkaline phosphatases to S-benzoylthiamine in the intestinal mucosa, which is then hydrolyzed to thiamine by liver thioesterases.
