Bendex syrup is an antiparasitic medication which helps in treating diseases caused by an infestation of parasitic worms. This medication is generally used to cure diseases like neurocysticercosis, which is known to affect the brain, muscles and other tissues. It also treats conditions such as giardiasis (intestinal infection), hydatid disease, pinworm disease intestinal infection, ascariasis (gastrointestinal infection), filariasis (affecting the lymph nodes and vessels) and others.
This syrup falls under the group of drugs known as anthelmintics, which expels the parasitic worms either by stunning them or killing them without causing notable damage to the patient’s body.
