About Benforce M Tablet
This medication is composed of Metformin, Benfotiamine and helps to maintain balanced blood sugar levels in the body. How does this medication work?
The drug decreases glucose production in the liver, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing bodies glucose uptake and utilization. It is a lipid-based synthetic analogue of Thymine or Vitamin B1 with greater bioavailability than other Thiamine salts. The medicine is also dephosphorylated by ecto-alkaline phosphatases to S-benzoylthiamine in the intestinal mucosa, which is then hydrolyzed to thiamine by liver thioesterases.
