About Betnesol-N Eye/Ear Drops

Betnesol-N Eye/Ear Drops is a combination drug that is practised in the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye or ear by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria.

Betnesol-N Eye/Ear Drops are used as per the directions on the label or as instructed by the doctor. It should be only applied to the affected eye or ear and used regularly for better effectiveness.

The course of this medication should be completed even after the infection is gone. Betnesol-N Eye/Ear Drops should be used with care and only for the recommended period of time.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid action. It decreases inflammation by inhibiting the migration of leukocytes and reduces the permeability of capillaries and inhibiting prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators. It also binds itself to 30S-subunit proteins and also 16S rRNA. It attaches irreversibly to a total of four nucleotides of 16S rRNA and one protein S12 amino acid. This causes interference when it comes to decoding the site.
