About Bro-Zedex Syrup

Bro-Zedex Syrup is a drug employed in the treatment of cough. It acts by diluting the mucus in the lungs, windpipe, and nose which makes coughing out easier. It also creates a cool sensation in the body and relieves trivial infections of the throat.

Bro-Zedex Syrup is not a self-medication drug and should be taken only as instructed by the doctor, the dosage of the medication depends upon the health condition and the response of the body. The course of the treatment should be completed as discontinuing it too early may redevelop the symptoms.

Before starting Bro-Zedex Syrup, notify the doctor of allergies, recent medications, and other health conditions that may or may not interfere with the treatment.     This medication is a synthetic secretolytic agent which help the natural mechanisms to clear respiratory tract mucus. It increases serous mucus production in respiratory tract and reduces phlegm viscosity, which helps the cilia to clear mucous from the respiratory tract. Altogether they make breathing easier. It causes stimulation via beta-adrenergic receptors of the intracellular adenyl cyclase. The intracellular adenyl cyclase enzyme causes conversion of adenosine triphosphate into adenosine monophosphate and also triggers the TRPM8 receptors in the skin that are cold-sensitive. It does that by blocking calcium currents of the neuronal membrane. Through kappa-opoid receptor agonism, it can also produce analgesic characteristics. Lastly, it reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucous in upper respiratory tract to increase flow of mucous, stimulating and increasing efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucous.
