About Buscogast 20Mg/Ml Injection
This injection is an effective drug administered for the treatment of gastrointestinal tract problems, excessive nausea, vomiting and especially for patients suffering from motion sickness and may be used to reduce the production of saliva especially after some major surgery. The drug can also help to relieve seasickness, abdominal inflammation or spasms, indigestion, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome.
This injection can be administered intravenously, orally and sometimes also through dermal patches. The drug remains for around 9 – 10 hours in the body and works as a muscarinic antagonist. It blocks the neurotransmitter acetylcholine by binding with muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, which in turn prevents nervous impulses to the parasympathetic nervous system especially to the vomiting center in the brain.
