About Candid-CL Suppository
This liquid medication is an antibiotic used to treat numerous bacterial infections. It is used to treat vaginal bacterial and fungal infections like vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, vaginal discharge, and other vaginal infection. This liquid medication is administered in the vaginal cavity.
It belongs to a lincosamide class of antibiotics. It is available in blend with anti-fungal and works by obstructing bacteria from synthesizing protein.
It is generally safe during pregnancy, but consult a doctor before taking it. The dosage recommended for adults for serious infections is usually 150-300 mg every 6 hours. In severe infections is 300-450 mg every 6 hours. Not completing the dose as per prescription may have adverse effects and is therefore not advisable.

How does this medication work?
This liquid medication belongs to the class lincosamide. It works by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Also, it has both fungistatic and fungicidal actions. It binds to phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane and alters its permeability.

Gentamicin
Combined usage of these medicines may increase the risk of kidney injury. Any symptoms of changes in urine output, swelling, and weight gain etc., should be reported to the doctor.
