About Candid-V6 100mg Vaginal Tablet

Candid V6 100 MG Vaginal Tablet is a broad-spectrum antifungal medicine. It is also used to treat vulvovaginal infections. The tablet relieves symptoms such as burning, itching, cracking of the skin and discomfort caused by the infection.

Candid-V6 100mg Vaginal Tablet works by limiting the production of ergosterol, an important component of the fungal cell membrane. Disruption in the production of ergosterol leads to the development of holes in the membrane and leakage of cell component. Hence, it results in the death of the bacteria.

The medication is probably safe to use by pregnant and breastfeeding women. Avoid the medication if you have a known history of allergy to it.

Usual dosage of Candid-V6 100mg Vaginal Tablet: Insert 100 mg/day for 7 days or 500 mg single dose.

Patients must wash hands or applicator before using. Insert full applicator into vagina gently and insert the tablet into vagina, at bedtime. Wash applicator with soap and water following use. Remain lying down for 30 minutes following administration.

Avoid intercourse during therapy (sexual partner may experience penile burning or itching). Report adverse reactions (eg, vulvar itching, frequent urination), worsening of condition, or lack of response to therapy.

Patients who suffer from Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) should exercise caution and must consult a doctor before using the tablet. Some of the common side effects that may occur are skin rash, redness of the skin and vaginal bleeding.
