This medicine is meant for oral consumption and its dosage may vary from 5 mg to 10 mg and 20 mg in some cases. It is not recommended for expecting or breastfeeding mothers too. If a patient is taking this medicine, he should avoid driving or drive very carefully as the drug can cause confusion and dizzy spells. Fast movement should also be avoided as it can cause dizziness.
Take exactly as directed. Do not increase, decrease, or adjust dosage without consulting the prescriber. Do not take with antacids and do not use alcohol or OTC medications (eg, cold remedies) without consulting the prescriber.
If diabetic, monitor serum sugars closely (may alter glucose tolerance or mask signs of hypoglycemia).
