About COSVATE G CREAM
COSVATE G CREAM is a combination drug employed in the treatment of bacterial infections on the skin. It works against the bacteria and reduces the inflammation, itching, and redness.
COSVATE G CREAM is only meant for external usage, caution should be exercised to avoid getting it in eyes, nose, mouth and vagina. It should be taken in the recommended dosage as instructed by the doctor.
It is applied as a thin film on the infected region with clean and dry hands. COSVATE G CREAM may take several weeks to improve the symptoms, however, it should not be discontinued as doing so may spread the infection.
Before taking COSVATE G CREAM, notify your doctor of any allergies, recent medications, and other health disorders that may or may not interfere with the treatment.
In the case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult with the doctor first before starting the course of the treatment. It is advised to not scratch the infection during the course of the treatment as doing so may spread the infection more.

How does this medication work?
The cream belongs to corticosteroids. It works as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid by inhibiting phospholipase A2 thus inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It also works by works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria.
