This is a combination medication which has Betamethasone, Gentamicin, and Zinc Sulfate as active ingredients. It belonging to the glucocorticoid class of medication acts as asteroid. This cream is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid action. It decreases inflammation by inhibiting the migration of leukocytes and reduces the permeability of capillaries and inhibiting prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators. Gentamicin belongs to the class aminoglycosides. It works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Zinc Sulfate is an antiseptic.
