Elmecob 500 MCG Injection is composed of Vitamin B12 which is one of the most important nutrients required by the human body. A lack of this vitamin can cause severe and permanent neurological damage. This medication is used by people of all ages suffering from gut disease where they are unable to completely absorb vitamin and have risk of vitamin B12 deficiency. This medication is water soluble and contains pure form of vitamin B12. Elmecob 500 MCG Injection acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. In anemia, it increases blood cell production by promoting nucleic acid synthesis in the bone marrow and by promoting maturation and division of erythrocytes.
