About Emcor Cream

Emcor Cream belongs to the family of corticosteroids. It is anti-inflammatory in nature, and relieves skin conditions like rashes, redness, itching, irritation, and some types of psoriasis. The mode of administration is topical.

Local adverse effects include mild burning sensation at the site of application, itching, irritation, dryness, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, dermatitis, secondary infections and other skin conditions. While these localized side effects are generally typical of topical corticosteroids, their chances of incidence increase with occlusive dressings. This medicine can be used along with others, as there have been no records of adverse drug interactions yet.

It is advisable to inform your doctor of any allergic reactions you may have had in the past, as allergic reactions to any of the components of Emcor Cream are contraindications to the usage of this medicine. Emcor Cream should be applied on the skin, twice a day, on the affected areas. Rub it in gently. Keep it out of your eyes. Avoid applying large amounts of it over large areas, or for extended periods of time as it may be absorbed. Do not cover the treated areas with airtight dressings like bandages.
