About ENZICTRA DS TABLET
This medication is composed of Bromelain, Trypsin and Rutoside. It is used as a nasal decongestant for inflammation of the sinuses and hay fever. It can also be used for inducing muscle contractions, muscle relaxations and pulmonary edema.
The tablet is usually taken between meals, so as to prevent it from meddling with the digestive system. It is important that you stop taking this medicine about two weeks before any surgery as it can potentially cause more bleeding.

How does this medication work?
This drug is a protease enzyme derived from the stems of pineapples. It selectively inhibits proinflammatory prostaglandin biosynthesis, is an analgesic, and displays anticancerous and pro-apoptotic properties. The medicine breaks down the peptides taking recourse to hydrolysis reaction. The peptides are deconstructed into amino acid building blocks. The working nature is a catalytic mechanism. The site of activation is comprised of three amino acids which are referred to as catalytic triad.
