About Esiflo Hfa 25 Mcg/125 Mcg Transhaler

Esiflo Hfa 25 Mcg/125 Mcg Transhaler is used for preventing and controlling asthma symptoms and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease symptoms. These symptoms include shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and chest tightness. It prevents breathing difficulties during exercise.

Common side effects of Esiflo Hfa 25 Mcg/125 Mcg Transhaler are sinus infection, dizziness and migraine headaches. In most cases, these side effects are minor and don't require treatment. Certain side effects, however, are serious and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. Some of these are high blood pressure, rapid heart rate and worsening of breathing problems.

Use alternate medicines and avoid this medicine if you are allergic to it, using other medicines like long-acting beta-agonist medicine, azole anti-fungal or macrolide antibiotic. This medicine needs to be taken with extra precautions if you have asthma and have frequent asthma attacks.

Esiflo Hfa 25 Mcg/125 Mcg Transhaler is available as a dry powder inhaler that releases a powdered form of the drug. Your dosage will be determined by the doctor based on your medical condition. If you miss a dose use the medication as soon as you remember, then wait 12 hours before using the medication again. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose.

    How does this medication work?

    This medicine acts as a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist. It works by stimulating the intracellular enzyme called adenylyl cyclase, which initiates the process of transformation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic 3’,5’-adenosine monophosphate (AMP). This relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and inhibits the release of immediate hypersensitivity mediators from mast cells.
