Fluocinolone is a topical corticosteroid. It is used to treat the dryness, itching, inflammation, redness, crusting, scaling and discomfort of various skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, allergies and rash.

Fluocinolone is available in various forms like shampoo, ointment, solution, cream and oil. It’s a topical medication, which means it’s applied to the skin. It usually is applied two to four times a day, as recommended by the doctor.
