About Fml T Eye Drop

Being an aminoglycoside antibiotic, Fml drop kills bacteria to treat different types of severe bacterial infections in the eye.

It is not to be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to another aminoglycoside antibiotic like gentamicin. If you have hearing, kidney, nerve problems, severe burns and dehydration, let your doctor know.

Medicines like penicillin, imipenem, ceftizoxime decrease the effectiveness of Fml drop when taken along with it. On the other hand, medicines like cisplatin, colistin, cyclosporine, and fludarabine increase the side effects of Fml T Eye Drop

    This medication combines irreversibly to aminoglycoside at the binding sites of 30 S ribosomal subunit bringing about inhibition of protein synthesis of bacteria. It destabilizes the bacterial membrane when it combines to 16S 16S r-RNA.

        Ans : It has Tobramycin and Fluorometholone as active elements present in it. As being a combination of two drugs: Tobramycin and Fluorometholone. Tobramycin stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of important proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Fluorometholone obstructs the production of prostaglandins that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
