This is a combination medication which has Formoterol and Budesonide as active ingredients. It is widely used for treating asthma. It is also used for preventing breathing problems caused by exercise. This medication is also used for long-term management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Foracort is a long-acting beta-agonist bronchodilator. It widens the airways in the lungs which in turn helps you breathe more easily.

If you are allergic to milk protein or any ingredient in this medication, do not use it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of diabetes, low blood potassium levels, and heart problems. Apart from this, blood vessel problems, high blood pressure, an adrenal gland tumor, seizures, or thyroid problems.

This medication has bronchodilatory properties and works by selectively binding to beta-2 adrenergic receptors in bronchial smooth muscles. It results in the activation of intracellular adenyl cyclase which catalyzes the conversion of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic-3'',5''-adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and leads to bronchodilation.
