Fosirol powder is an analogue of phosphoenolpyruvate enzyme which acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic by irreversibly inhibiting enolpyruvate transferase enzyme. This prevents the formation of an essential component of the bacterial cell wall N-acetylmuramic acid, destroying the cell wall and killing the bacteria.
