About Furic 40 MG Tablet
Furic 40 MG Tablet is used for decreasing the symptoms of gouty arthritis. It belongs to the group of medications called xanthine oxidase inhibitors. The medicine works by decreasing the level of uric acid by blocking the xanthine oxidase enzyme. This enzyme helps the body to make uric acid from xanthine. When there are high levels of uric acid in the blood, it can lead to gout and the symptoms associated with it.
Dosage of the medication depends on your age, the condition for which you are being treated and it’s severity, your medical history, and reaction to the first dose. It is available in tablet form to be taken orally. You can have the medicine with or without food. Usually, it is taken once a day but follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the dosage.
Your doctor must be informed if you ever had a medical history of cancer, liver disease, heart disease, kidney disease, organ transplantation or a stroke before being prescribed this medication.
