Geminex 320 MG Tablet
About Geminex 320 MG Tablet
Geminex 320 MG Tablet is a drug that belongs to the cluster of quinolone antibiotics that is administered to remedy bacterial infections. However, this medicine will not work for viral infections such as flu and the common cold. This antibiotic works by preventing the growth and further infestation of bacteria. Remember that using an antibiotic repetitively for trivial issues or for problems not caused by bacteria will lead the bacteria to become resistant to that antibiotic. Thus the antibiotic will lose its efficacy over a period of time.
The length of the treatment plan and dosage of Geminex 320 MG Tablet will depend upon the severity of the condition. It is advised to take this drug at least two hours prior to the intake of other minerals/vitamins or products containing magnesium or aluminum such as antacids. For best results, take this medicine at regular intervals every day. Finish the course of the antibiotic even if your condition gets better; this is because stopping the intake of an antibiotic prematurely will result in the relapse of the infection and the bacteria turning antibiotic resistant over a period of time.
Some of the side effects include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, headaches and difficulty in sleeping. While none of these are very serious concerns and should resolve on their own, consult your doctor right away if they happen to persist or seem to bother and causing you discomfort. Other serious but rare adverse reactions include easy bleeding or bruising, symptoms of kidney related issues such as increased or decreased urination and associated concerns such as abdominal/stomach pain, continuous vomiting, yellowing of the skin/eyes, etc. Seek prompt medical attention should you experience any of these.
