About Glimestar-M 2 Forte Tablet Sr

This is a combination medication which has Glimepiride and Metformin as active ingredients. It is used in treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes. This medication is a type of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine, that helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level. Hence this drug is used to enhance the positive effects of diet and exercise concerning blood sugar. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas.

The common side effects arising due to the intake of this medication are anxiety, irritability, sweating, dizziness, headache, fatigue, weakness, etc. Generally, these side effects are mild and go away on their own after a few days.

This medication should be stored at a temperature between 20 to 25-degree Celcius. It should be kept away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep the drug away from the reach of the children and pets.
