Glimetop 1 MG Tablet is used for the management of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2) as an adjunct to diet and exercise to lower blood glucose. Used in combination with insulin to lower blood glucose in patients whose hyperglycemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise in conjunction with an oral hypoglycemic agent.
Glimetop 1 MG Tablet is a drug that is used on treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes, who can't control blood sugar levels through diet and exercise alone. Hence this drug is used to enhance the positive effects of diet and exercise with respect to blood sugar.
It is also used in combination with other antidiabetic medicines. It is a type of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine, that helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas.
