This is a combination medication which has Glimepiride, Metformin, and Pioglitazone as active ingredients. It is used in treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes. Patients who cant control blood sugar levels through diet and exercise alone takes this medication. Hence this drug is used to enhance the positive effects of diet and exercise concerning blood sugar.

It is a type of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine. Pioglitazone activates peroxisome proliferator activator receptor causing an increase in the production of components that breaks down lipids and glucose in the body. It also increases insulin response without effecting its secretion.
