Headon 4Iu Injection is a growth hormone-inhibiting hormone that is used in the treatment of carcinoid tumours, acute bleeding of oesophagal varices, and acromegaly.
It is also helpful in the treatment of acute pancreatitis. Headon 4Iu Injection functions by thwarting the effect of specific natural hormones such as growth hormones and serotonin.
Headon 4Iu Injection could be administered subcutaneously as well as intravenously. The recommended dosage of Headon 4Iu Injection is 250mcg as an I.V bolus injection over a period of 3-5 minutes at an infusion rate of 3mg/12 hour.
