About Homatropine

Homatropine is an anticholinergic medication used before and after certain eye surgeries. It is used before eye examinations and to treat certain eye conditions such as uveitis. This medication works by dilating the pupil of the eye.

You should inform your doctor if:

  • you are allergic to homatropine, or to any belladonna alkaloids
  • you have a personal or family history of glaucoma, brain damage, or down's syndrome
  • you have other eye conditions like keratoconus or spastic paralysis
