About Imefic Plus 1 Gm Injection

Imefic Plus 1 Gm Injection is used to treat bacterial infections by impeding the growth of the bacteria’s cell wall. It is a carbapenem antibiotic.

Do not use Imefic Plus 1 Gm Injection if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, to amide-type local anesthetics like lidocaine, or to carbapenem antibiotics. Alert your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to be a pregnant or are lactating. Taking succinylcholine increases the chance of side effects of taking Imefic Plus 1 Gm Injection.

Imefic Plus 1 Gm Injection is found in an injection form that is usually injected at the doctor’s office or clinic itself. If you are to take it at home, make sure to take all instructions from the doctor on collect application method.     This medicine works by binding and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) in the bacterial cell walls. This inactivation results in the bacterial cell wall being weakened and leads to cell lysis and eventually death.
