Isorane Solution is an anesthetic that can be used to initiate or maintain anesthesia. It is a colorless, clear, stable, non flammable liquid used generally to maintain anesthesia.
You should consult your doctor before taking Isorane Solution if you have a history of coronary heart disease, or are allergic to it or any ingredient in it, have malignant hypothermia, or if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding, and also in case of elderly people having a high risk of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD). It is also advised to use Isorane Solution primarily for maintaining anesthesia instead of inducing anesthesia as it may cause airway irritation.
The possible side effects one may encounter after taking Isorane Solution includes respiratory depression, irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, malignant hypothermia, hypotension, arrhythmias, nausea, vomiting, perioperative hyperkalemia.
