About Jalra 50mg Tablet

This medication is prescribed to patients suffering from type 2 diabetes. It is an anti-hyperglycaemic agent of DDP-4 class of drugs. Tests have shown that it helps hyperglycaemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is often prescribed with anti-diabetes medications such as metformin.

People who have liver problem should avoid taking this medication. Also people with renal impairment or congestive heart failure should inform their healthcare provider before taking the medicine. Common side effects noted during trials were

  • Sweating

    • Are there any missed dose instructions?

      If you miss a dose of Vildagliptin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

      In case of overdose, consult your doctor.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication blocks dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). Therefore inactivation of GLP-1 by DPP-4 is prevented and GLP-1 is allowed to potentiate the production of insulin in the beta cells. It controls blood glucose by debasing GIP and GLP-1.

      What are the interactions of Jalra 50mg Tablet ?

      Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.

        Do not take this medication in combination with Aripiprazole, Clozapine, Dexamethasone, Dopamine, Acetazolamide, Gatifloxacin and Bexarotene.
      • Interaction with Disease

        Disease

        Patients who suffer from Pancreatitis and Cardiac failure should not use this medication.
