How does this medication work?
This injection is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It works by inhibiting the enzymes cylooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This prevents the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid which leads to a blockage of pain impulses.
