About Kuff Q Nf Tablet

Kuff Q Nf Tablet is used to treat common cold symptoms and chest congestions. This is because it helps the body clear away its mucus. This medicine is a multidrug composition containing Bromhexine, Chlorpheniramine, Guaifenesin, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol.

It falls under the category of mucolytic, antihistamine, expectorant, alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist and NSAID respectively. In order to help patients, they break down the mucus that is present in the body. This makes it much easier to cough it all out.

Sometimes, patients can experience a few side effects after taking this. The side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, pruritus, urticaria, sweating, dizziness, and pain in the abdomen.

    Kuff Q NF Tablet is a multidrug composition thus works via multiple mechanisms. Firstly, it acts as a secretolytic agent which help the natural mechanisms to clear respiratory tract mucus. It increases serous mucus production in respiratory tract and reduces phlegm viscosity which helps the cilia to clear mucus from the respiratory tract. Secondly, this drug binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine, which is used to prevent the allergic symptoms from conditions such as urticaria and rhinitis. Thirdly, it works as an expectorant which reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucus in upper respiratory tract to increase flow of mucous, stimulating and increasing efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucus. It also works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels in the ear and nose, thereby providing great relief from discomfort. Lastly, it activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals.
