About Kufril 15 Mg/50 Mg/1 Mg Drop

Ambroxol is a drug primarily used to cure respiratory diseases. It clears the respiratory tract and breaks up the phlegm. It aids in the release of surfactant which in turn prevents the mucus from sticking to the bronchial wall. It also shields one from various irritating agents and infections. Ambroxol is an active ingredient in cough syrups which facilitates easy breathing in case of clogging up of the nasal cavity.

Kufril 15 Mg/50 Mg/1 Mg Drop is a mixture of three drugs: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Salbutamol, which treats a cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which performs its action by thinning and loosening up mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which reduces the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It acts by calming the muscles in the air passages and widens airways. Together, they make breathing easier. Ambroxol is clinically proven to make the sputum thinner and less vicious and helps to cure cough.

This drug is also used to treat different forms of inflammatory pulmonary conditions, bronchitis, bronchospasm asthma and pneumoconiosis. In the case of acute bronchitis, Ambroxol should be paired with necessary antibiotics.

Dosage of Ambroxol for adults may vary from 1-4 tablets a day or as directed by the physician. For children, it is more feasible to administer the syrup depending on the age and intensity of the infection.
